ASM is working, through Caltech and NASA JPL with the assistance of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) research funding, to develop products that will provide rapid and highly accurate detection of bacterial spores that can be deployed in a variety of public locations.

ASM detectors represent a whole new methodology of identifying "live" and “dead” spores and are not an evolution of currently available products. They render other methodologies obsolete. From first responders carrying our handheld units in the field, to doctors using our units for testing of MRSA in hospitals, this is cutting edge technology that saves lives.
